What You Got September 29, 2008

• Rooftop bars are fun!! Bring a snow jacket though, it’s COLD up there! Altitude had a huge fire and blankets out, so that wasn’t too bad. The bartender made me this amaaazing raspberry drink that had real raspberries in it! Oh! And from the rooftop, you can look right into Petco and see the Coronado bridge. I also got to see the SD Convention Center for the first time last night. Hahaha. I’m the worst SD native.
• I just got a whole bunch of new music.
• I dropped my management class, but I got permission from Professor Evans to sit in on his group theory lectures. That class is today at 3…and hopefully I’ll be back from my CHS campus tour by then. Hm, I should be. CHS is tiny…a fraction of TP. Lol.
• I woke up this morning and saw part of my patio was a different color than the rest of it. It didn’t register in my head that it could possibly be rain….unfortunately, it was. What the random.
• My futon’s done for. I’ve thrown the frame outside onto my patio and now I sit on the cushions on the floor. Hahaha. It’s a little ghetto but I don’t care. It works. I’m tempted to drag my bed out here since I have all this empty space in my living room now (I’ve pushed my coffee table to the side as well). I wouldn’t do it, but it’d be awesome to watch my TV in bed.
• Burn update: My forearm’s looking better except that it’s been getting itchy lately…and I keep forgetting about those burns so I’ve accidently scratched a few. Um, as for the rest of my arm, all the burns are slowly fading away, but it’ll still be a while. I accidently rubbed off one of the biggest burns and now it’s just….pink skin with dried flaps of the burnt skin. It’s not very cute. Hahaha. It’s all good though. My mom put this medicine on it yesterday that made me want to hack my arm off. Lol. That crap hurt. Oh, Asian remedies. What would my life be without them?
• My dad just bought me a lot of food. The fattest two-item lunch from Sam Wu’s that I’ve ever seen. It could be my lunch every day this week. I also got half a duck.
• Heroes tonight! That reminds me that I missed Desperate Housewives and Brothers and Sisters last night. I’ll have to get on that!

• It’s been hot hot hot.
• My arm is hot hot hot.
• School started. I think I’m gonna drop the management class I signed up for. Hmm. Back down to one class?
• Today’s been a lovely Friday, and this evening is shaping up to become an eventful one. Might be heading downtown again, but that’s always so exhausting….and never kind to me the next morning.
• CHS, tutoring, work, and school. Getting busy again!
• Am I really applying to graduate school?! Oy. College went by FAST!

• They’re selling xmas decorations at Costco already. That in itself makes me pretty excited and ready for the holiday festivities. This might turn out to be a quiet Christmas season for me, but that’s ok. Christmas is still Christmas.
• I can’t believe summer’s over. I hope I don’t forget there’s school on Thursday! It’s been a great summer and hopefully this last year of undergrad will be suuuuuper awesomeeeee.
• Finally bought pillows for my futon. Now I’m totally set for my afternoon naps.

+ I’m at Berkeley right now…chilling at Michelle’s place, waiting for DAVE! <3 The show’s tonight and I can’t wait!! Turns out, two other high school friends are going so it should be great.

+ I feel really good about things right now. Optimistic. Well, at the very least, hopeful. And I think that’s enough to get me through at times.

+ I’ve been hiding a secret desire. I want to keep people in my life…the good people, the people who make me want to be better. I think it’s rare to find someone who can inspire positive change, and if you find people who can do that, you should surround yourself with them. Oy. I wish I were a better person, but yeah, like I said, I’m feeling good about this next year.
