Jon’s been educating me on global warming. A couple weeks ago I got a survey call from someone in DC and some of the questions were inquiring about my concern (or lack thereof) in global warming. I told them I wasn’t worried at all, but when Yoda told me Del Mar would be under water, I started to worry.

What’s gonna happen to Double Happiness, Board n’ Brew, and the beach as we know it?

Jon sent me this link and I thought I’d share. I’m not too worried anymore cuz my house is ok and so is Double Happiness. Lol. TP and CDM are ok…and so are my friend’s houses that I checked.

At any rate, I went from being not concerned at all to extremely concerned, and now I’m just somewhat concerned. The crazy weather changes from day to day are getting kind of annoying (and unpredictable!), but I’m just glad my house isn’t gonna be under water.

Angel April 22, 2007

+ Week 4 starts tomorrow, and that means midterms start this week. Luckily, it’s a light load for me this quarter. Just 3 classes and only 2 midterms this week. And by another stroke of luck, they don’t fall on the same day. Statistics had proven to be the lamest branch of math. Oh wait…it comes in 2nd to last, just in front of the history of math. Both lame. Very lame.
+ I went karaoke-ing for the first time yesterday with ppl from my Korean class. Turned out to be a lot of fun. Lol. I hate singing into a mic though. I love singing in the car, but I just don’t feel safe singing anywhere else…especially not into a mic. Food was good though.
+ Uhhh. Yeah….I’m gonna go waste time. I’m done studying for the night and I’ve done all the HW I can do. Ciao ciao. Sorry for the short update.

Stars and Boulevards April 12, 2007

+ I’ve been meaning to post for a while, but I’ve just been so busy…and I’m hardly at my computer anymore. Here I am though. I’ve been up since 7:30 (ungodly), but I don’t have class until noon. I had an 8:00 and a 9:00, but I couldn’t get parking in Muir so I turned in my HW and left. It was just section, so not a huge deal.
+ Jon and I went to the Relient K and Mae concert last night. Mae was really good. They didn’t play my song though. Relient K was ok. We’re going to the Augustana concert this Saturday…I’m pretty excited for that one. It should be awesome.
+ This quarter’s going well. Of course, it is only week two, and I’m sure it’ll kick my ass come week four, but right now, I’m enjoying myself.
+ Korean is hard. Not so much because of the content or anything…just we’re moving so fast and the teachers never explain things (like vocab and grammar) until after we’ve taken a quiz or after we’ve done the HW. In that respect, it sucks, but I’m having fun learning.
+ My two math classes are math classes. That should speak for itself. I hate it but I love it. I’m bored by it but intrigued by it. Such a love/hate relationship. History of Mathematics is pretty lame though cuz we’re learning to do arithmetic, algebra, and geometry Egyptian style…and whatever else. Pointless b/c I’m never gonna bust out Egyptian math in my high school classroom while I’m teaching.
+ I would do ANYTHING for another Spring Break. I’m dead tired. Maybe it’s cuz I’ve been going to all my classes (even the 9 AM!). Today’s sections are the first I’ve missed, but not cuz I chose to sleep instead. I’m proud of myself. Definitely patting myself on the back. Lol.
+ Um…ok. I’m out of things to say. Lol. I’m gonna go…lie down in bed….hahaha. See you all next time.

Take My Breath Away April 1, 2007

+ I bought two more turtles today. They’re named Pi and Sigma. Lol. So now I have 5 turtles and I think the tank’s getting too small for all of them.
+ Class starts tomorrow. Seems way too soon for that. This quarter should be a good one though…at least that’s what I’m hoping.
+ Tomorrow’s my 10 month anniversary with Jon. Gosh…that seems so long. Lol. It’s been a wonderful 10 months though. I’m so lucky to have him. I love you, Oppa.
+ Tomorrow’s my first Korean class. I’m so excited for it. Despite the fact that my parents keep saying I can’t learn it and that it’ll be too hard for me, I think it’s gonna be great and I think I’m gonna really like it. Jon already taught me the alphabet so I can read now…kind of. It’s hard but hopefully it’ll get easier with practice.
+ I tried to quit VIA again. Didn’t work…again. I have this dreadful feeling I’m gonna be stuck there forever. Lol.
+ Originally I was only planning to apply to UCSD for grad school, but last night I looked into other UC’s, and their graduate education program is pretty much the same as UCSD’s (which makes sense since they’re all under the California Teach program). Anyway, if I get accepted into other places, it’ll give me the option/chance to leave SD for once in my life. Lol.
+ I’ve been having a lot of sleeping problems lately but I’m gonna try really hard to get it on track this quarter. It’s effecting me in too many negative ways.
+ Speaking of, I should probably get to bed. I have a long day tomorrow. Class from 9-4, work from 4:30-7, tutoring from 7:15-8:15, and then grabbing a quick dinner and then making it back in time for my beloved 24. Lol. I love that show. Last week’s episode was the best. Lol. Ok. Good night everyone. I hope you all have a great first day back and a lovely quarter.
