I just got killed by my Math 109 midterm, and joy, now I get to go get ruined by my Math 20F midterm too. ::sigh:: I really really REALLY hate math. Someone save me.

I’ve been emailing my dad back and forth. Lol. I love it. I’ve been having so much fun with it and each email makes me so happy. :D

I can’t sleep.

I’m so exhausted from this quarter.

I took a nyquil to knock me out.

I’m still awake.

I think I’m coming down with something.

I’m excited for fellowship this weekend.

I have a lot of changes to make to my life.

I’m dying from this headache.

I alternated between “I” and “I’m” to start my sentences (love it).

I’m gonna try to sleep again.

“Now I look into myself and see the I of me, the weak and aimless thing which makes me. I is not strong and needs to be, I needs to know direction, but has none. My I is not sure, there are too many wrongs and mixed thruths within to know. I changes and does not know. I knows little reality and many dreams. What I am now is what will be used later to build the later self. What I am is not what I want to be, although I am not sure what this is which I do not want. But then what is I? My I is an answer to every all of every people. It is which I have to give in the waiting world and from here comes all that is different. I is to create.” ~John D., age 17

The second week of winter quarter is almost over and I must say, I’m enjoying this quarter a lot more than previous ones. Spreading things out over 4 years has given me a lot more time to do things I want and has greatly reduced my stress.

I’m taking 4 classes this quarter (Math 20F, Math 109, EDS 118, and Bild 10). I feel like I’m tutoring more than ever (probably because middle school and high schools are going into finals week). I’ve been going into my internship less, but I think things are slowing down there anyway. I’ll be going back to Torrey Pines in Feb. It should be great. I’m excited and Mr. Williams has been so nice about it.

With an extra year at UCSD, I have far fewer classes each quarter, and after this school year’s shadowing at Torrey Pines, I want to volunteer at Preuss next year. Things are really starting to fall into place.

My math classes are going alright. The UD one has a terrible professor, but I like the class itself. It’s mathematical reasoning (proofs all the time!), but it’s kind of fun and definitely a nice change from so many quarter of calculus. The 20F class is alright too. Also a nice change from calc. I haven’t really had a lecture for my EDS class, but it’s about the cognative development of adolescents which is so interesting to me. I’ve always liked studying these sort of things, and thus far, the articles I’ve read for the class have been great. I can totally see my adolescent self in it and Wayne as well. Irene, not so much. She never was a typical teen. Lol. (Not a bad thing I.I.). And lastly, my biology class. Not bad. The professor really dumbs down the material for us, but that’s nice. :) I’m not complaining. Lol. If I can average 85% on the two midterms I don’t have to take the final. That would be SO wonderful. Only having 3 finals?! B-e-a-U-tiful!

Anyway, this was my short break between articles. I’ll be getting back to that now. I hope all your quarters are going well so far. :)

Oh, I almost forgot. That big quotation at the top was from my EDS reader. I liked it. :)
